Creative Director (Interactive Retail)
As the Creative Director for Interactive & Retail Experiences at Monks, you will lead the development of interactive demonstrations for global retail environments and event activations. Reporting to the Group Creative Director of Emerging Experiences, you will be responsible for translating complex AI features into intuitive and engaging user interactions that showcase the value of products like Pixel, Nest, and Fitbit.
Your primary responsibilities include conceptualizing and executing on-device demos for new product launches, ensuring these experiences are robust enough for high-traffic retail settings while remaining simple and engaging for shoppers. You will direct teams of interactive designers, motion designers, and creative technologists to maintain the highest standards of craft and usability in all user interactions.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of creative experience focused on digital, interactive, or product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multidisciplinary teams. A strong portfolio demonstrating deep expertise in user experience and interface design is essential, along with experience working with major tech clients or launching products in retail environments. Proficiency in design tools like Figma or Principle and a solid understanding of hardware capabilities, software constraints, and the Android ecosystem are also required.
