Country Director, Supply - China
The Country Director, Supply – China at Agoda will spearhead the company's growth strategy within the Chinese market. This leadership role involves managing local teams across various offices in China and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to enhance Agoda's presence in the region. The position is based in Shanghai and offers direct exposure to Agoda's global senior leadership team.
Key responsibilities include setting strategic objectives to achieve aggressive growth targets, leading and coaching team leaders to meet these goals, and optimizing operational efficiencies within the region. The role also entails building and maintaining high-level relationships with hotel groups to enhance contracting efforts and driving innovation through pilot programs and experimentation.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, with an MBA being advantageous. A minimum of seven years in business development, preferably in online business sectors such as e-commerce or online travel agencies, is required. Additionally, at least five years of experience in team management, with a proven track record in setting KPIs and developing sales and marketing strategies, is essential. Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, along with robust numerical and analytical abilities, are also necessary.
