As Counsel, Regulatory & Product at FalconX, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's global regulatory strategy and ensuring compliance across its product offerings. Reporting to the Lead Attorney, you will be instrumental in executing the 2026 licensing roadmap and maintaining FalconX's reputation for institutional compliance. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and executing new license applications across various jurisdictions, including Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) and Money Transmitter Licenses (MTL). You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams from the initial stages of product development to launch, providing regulatory guidance for new asset classes and trading features. Additionally, you will act as the main point of contact for regulatory inquiries, examinations, and reporting requirements, ensuring full compliance with global oversight bodies. Monitoring global legislative changes and translating them into actionable technical and operational requirements for the platform will also be a key aspect of your role.
The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience as a regulatory attorney in fintech, cryptocurrency, or institutional finance sectors. Proven expertise in navigating complex, multi-jurisdictional licensing processes is essential. Strong skills in interpreting and applying opaque regulatory guidance into clear, actionable business advice are crucial for success in this role.
The base salary for this position ranges from $196,000 to $215,000 in New York City. Additional compensation includes performance-linked bonuses, equity options, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and the level at which the candidate is hired.
