The Corporate Legal Assistant at The Wonderful Company plays a pivotal role in supporting senior corporate transactional attorneys by managing complex commercial and corporate transactions. This position is based in West Los Angeles, CA, and operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence Monday through Wednesday and offering remote work options on Thursday and Friday. In this role, the Legal Assistant will support attorneys throughout the entire transaction lifecycle, including matter setup, document preparation, execution, closing, and post-closing activities. Key responsibilities involve revising, redlining, proofreading, and formatting complex commercial contracts and transactional documents with exceptional accuracy. The assistant will also draft documents and correspondence as needed, create and revise PowerPoint presentations, coordinate the execution of agreements (including DocuSign), and maintain organized transaction files and records. Additionally, the role includes managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, preparing and tracking expense reports, and handling courier and FedEx needs.

Candidates should have over five years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department supporting corporate or transactional attorneys. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly complex Word formatting, is essential. Experience with document and matter management systems (e.g., iManage, TyMetrix, Onit) and document comparison tools (e.g., Litera) is required. Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in interacting with senior executives and business leaders, are necessary. A high level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information are also important. A Notary Public certification or the willingness to obtain one is required.

The compensation for this position ranges from $45.00 to $55.00 per hour, with final compensation dependent upon skills and experience.
