Skyryse, an aviation technology company based in El Segundo, California, is seeking a Corporate General Counsel to lead all legal affairs. The General Counsel will serve as the chief legal advisor to the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors, playing a pivotal role in managing risk, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. This full-time, onsite position offers an opportunity to contribute to a company dedicated to enhancing aviation safety and accessibility through innovative technology solutions.

In this role, the General Counsel will provide practical, business-oriented counsel across all areas of the company, translating complex legal matters into clear, actionable guidance. Responsibilities include advising on corporate governance, overseeing compliance with corporate formalities and applicable laws, and assisting the company in achieving FAA Certification for its Flight OS technology. The General Counsel will also oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of customer, vendor, and partnership agreements, lead legal aspects of strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, and manage litigation strategy and outside counsel relationships.

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with expertise in commercial contracts, corporate governance, and FAA/FCC regulatory matters. Experience with export control compliance and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include intellectual property experience, employment law experience, and familiarity with commercial leasing in the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently, with a team-oriented approach and a willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of the business.

Skyryse offers a competitive salary range of $275,000 to $300,000, along with a valuable stock option plan.
