KBRA is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Corporate Credit Assessment Group in New York. This rapidly growing team provides credit analytics that directly contribute to credit ratings across various asset classes, including Structured Credit, Asset-Backed Securities, Project Finance, and Funds. The role focuses on building and managing KBRA's expanding database of private credit corporate assessments and conducting fundamental credit analysis and research.

Key responsibilities include analyzing corporate financial statements to provide credit assessments, writing rationales to support these assessments, and presenting analyses to internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves assisting senior team members with methodology development, research, project management, and database maintenance. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate on publishing timely research about corporate credit trends and work closely with professionals across KBRA sectors to meet client deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree. For the Analyst level, 0 to 2 years of investment research experience or similar financial analyst roles within a bank or financial institution are required. For the Senior Analyst level, a minimum of 2 years of such experience is necessary. Significant prior experience or coursework in accounting and credit analysis is essential, along with experience with corporate financial statements like 10-Ks and 10-Qs. Strong communication skills and proficiency in database management languages such as SQL, as well as Microsoft Office applications, are also required.

The anticipated annual base salary for this full-time position ranges from $75,000 to $90,000, depending on factors such as experience, skills, and geography.
