Expel is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to support the company's business objectives while ensuring compliance with legal standards. Expel is a rapidly growing cybersecurity company dedicated to providing transparent and effective security solutions to its clients.

As Corporate Counsel, your primary responsibilities will include managing and enhancing the revenue contract process in collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Product teams to optimize client service. You will revise and maintain Expel’s contract documents, ensuring they are customer-friendly and written in plain English. Additionally, you will support procurement activities by reviewing vendor contracts and developing guidelines and templates. Partnering with the Security Team, you will work to improve Expel’s data privacy and information security programs.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to listen actively and manage conflicts effectively. A deep knowledge of legal operations, processes, procedures, and metrics is essential. You should have a detailed understanding of commercial data privacy and intellectual property issues commonly associated with fast-growing technology and software-as-a-service companies. Experience providing legal services and support to a company operating in the SaaS space is required, along with 6-10 years of professional experience in relevant roles. A Juris Doctor degree and admission to at least one state bar are mandatory.
