Agoda is seeking a Data Platform Engineer Intern for its Cooperative Internship Program in 2026. This role is part of the Data Platform team, which manages the company's data infrastructure supporting critical analytics and machine-learning workloads. Agoda, a leading online travel booking platform, connects travelers with a vast network of accommodations, flights, and experiences worldwide.
As a Data Platform Engineer Intern, you will own and evolve a company-wide data platform that supports critical analytics and machine-learning workloads. You will build shared platform capabilities that allow teams to run complex data workflows reliably and at scale. The focus will be on stability, scalability, and operational excellence for systems used by many internal teams. Additionally, you will remove infrastructure complexity from product and data teams by providing a self-service, well-governed platform. You will work on challenging platform and distributed-system problems in a large, real-world environment and collaborate closely with data, ML, and infrastructure teams to continuously improve performance and developer experience.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Go, Python, or JavaScript with React is required. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A demonstrated problem-solving ability with a creative and analytical mindset is also important.
