Contracts Administrator

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our North Queensland construction team in Cairns. As a subsidiary of the international BESIX Group, we specialize in complex construction projects across various sectors, including building and infrastructure. With operations in 25 countries and a workforce of 11,000 globally, our portfolio includes iconic structures like the Burj Khalifa.

In this role, you will be responsible for tendering subcontract packages, preparing and managing contract documents, and assisting the Project Manager with subcontract administration, including progress and variation claims. You will also participate in monthly consolidated reporting on cash flow forecasting, variation status, contractual matters, and cost analysis. Establishing effective administrative systems in line with company procedures is a key aspect of the position.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience, with demonstrated experience in a similar role within the building construction industry. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels and work collaboratively within a team. The role requires autonomy, initiative, sound reasoning, and the capacity to manage shifting work priorities effectively.
