Construction Field Engineer / Construction Supervisor
Oklo is seeking a Construction Field Engineer / Construction Supervisor to support onsite execution of advanced nuclear and infrastructure projects, including the Aurora at INL and the Meitner facility. This role is field-focused and execution-driven, providing direct support to the Oklo Construction Project Manager and broader project team across construction planning, field oversight, technical administration, and turnover. The position is based on-site in Idaho Falls, ID.
Key responsibilities include supporting daily field execution activities across various subcontract scopes, performing construction supervision and field inspections to ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications, and assisting with site logistics planning and coordination among subcontractors, engineering, quality, safety, and operations teams. The role also involves monitoring construction progress, identifying field constraints, and proactively addressing issues impacting safety, quality, cost, or schedule.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of construction experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical facilities, with experience in regulated or high-consequence environments such as DOE, nuclear, aerospace, or industrial sectors. A strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, means and methods is essential, along with experience in RFIs, submittals, inspections, ITPs, and turnover documentation. An OSHA 30 certification is required, and additional safety and quality certifications are advantageous. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Idaho Falls and be open to travel to other Oklo project locations as needed.
