Construction Cost Engineer
The Construction Cost Engineer at CoreWeave will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the financial aspects of our data center construction projects. This position is integral to our mission of expanding and enhancing our AI-native data centers, which are purpose-built to support high-performance computing and AI workloads. As part of the construction management team, the Cost Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for data center construction projects. The Cost Engineer will monitor project expenditures, analyze variances, and implement cost control measures to mitigate financial risks. Additionally, this role involves evaluating contractor bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in construction cost management, preferably within the data center or high-tech infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in cost estimating software and financial analysis tools is essential. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively are also required.
