Stanley 1913, a renowned brand established in 1913, is seeking a Compliance Counsel to join their Legal team in Seattle, WA. This role is integral to supporting the company's growth by ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Compliance Counsel will collaborate closely with various departments, including marketing, supply chain, sales, manufacturing, distribution, content, and contracting, to provide effective legal guidance on a wide range of compliance matters.

Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and leading compliance programs, policies, and training to promote adherence to federal, state, and international regulations. The role also involves monitoring regulatory and enforcement developments, conducting internal investigations, supporting audits and regulatory inspections, managing government inquiries, and recommending corrective actions as needed. Additionally, the Compliance Counsel will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate compliance risks, draft and review compliance-related documentation, and support third-party onboarding and contract risk assessments.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. A minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years focused on compliance in a corporate or law firm setting, is required. Strong investigative, analytical, and legal writing skills are essential, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to work cross-functionally. The ideal candidate should also be capable of managing multiple projects and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $170,000 USD annually. Full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
