As the Communications Lead for Corporate & Leadership Communications at Canva, you will be at the forefront of shaping and delivering the company's global corporate communications and reputation strategies. This role involves partnering closely with Canva's founders and senior leaders to craft compelling narratives for internal and external audiences, including media, employees, and customers. Operating from Canva's Sydney headquarters, you will play a pivotal role in managing high-visibility communications during significant company milestones and day-to-day media engagements.
Key responsibilities include leading global corporate communications initiatives, developing and executing strategies for major product launches, acquisitions, and company announcements. You will build and maintain trusted relationships with top-tier journalists and key opinion leaders, driving proactive storytelling and managing inbound media opportunities. Additionally, you will oversee issues and crisis communications, collaborating cross-functionally to assess risks and deliver coordinated responses.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-growth environments, particularly in fast-scaling companies, and a proven track record of partnering with C-suite leaders on high-stakes communications. Exceptional writing and storytelling skills are essential, with the ability to craft clear and compelling narratives across various formats and audiences. Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to influence stakeholders at senior levels are crucial.
