Communications Coordinator

DLA Piper, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Communications Coordinator to enhance its brand through effective public relations strategies. This role is integral to the firm's Communications team, which focuses on promoting the firm's achievements and maintaining strong media relations. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and can be based in any of DLA Piper's U.S. office locations.

As a Communications Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include drafting and editing press releases that highlight the firm's accomplishments, building and maintaining relationships with journalists, and supporting media relations efforts aligned with the firm's strategic objectives. You will also monitor media coverage, compile reports, and analyze media metrics to assess the effectiveness of PR campaigns. Additional duties may involve scheduling media calls, conducting research, and proofreading press materials.

Ideal candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a similar area. Exceptional writing and editing skills, strong media relations capabilities, and a proactive approach to managing PR initiatives are essential. A background in professional services is preferred, and candidates should be able to work collaboratively with attorneys and business professionals.

Compensation for this role ranges from $30.38 to $47.40 per hour, depending on the candidate's geographic market location. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
