The position reports to the Commercial Sales Manager for Black Duck’s West Americas region and requires a candidate based in the Southwest, ideally in Southern California or Arizona, with the ability to travel consistently.

The Commercial Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving top-line sales revenue by promoting software and service agreements to ensure long-term client relationships and maximum contract value. Key responsibilities include building relationships with executives, guiding prospects through a structured sales process, ensuring customer success, representing Black Duck at industry events, maintaining accurate Salesforce records, and traveling to client locations approximately 35-50% of the time.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of software sales experience, including at least 3 years of closing experience. A proven track record of exceeding software sales revenue targets, managing complex sales cycles, selling multiyear licensing agreements, and closing six-figure deals is essential. Strong relationship-building skills with clients and executives, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication and presentation skills are also required.

The base salary range for this role across the U.S. is between $108,400 and $162,600, with eligibility for commission. Black Duck offers a competitive total rewards package, with actual compensation based on factors such as location, skills, experience, and education.
