As the Commercial Director at Teads Japan, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, mentor to the team, and key collaborator across the organization. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you will lead efforts to expand our presence with top-tier advertisers and agencies, driving strategic growth and fostering long-term partnerships. Your role will require a strong commercial instinct, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to navigate both traditional and digital advertising landscapes seamlessly.

Your primary responsibilities will include driving Teads' expansion with key agencies and brands by establishing trusted relationships at senior levels. You will own the full sales cycle, from identifying and pitching to closing deals that deliver tangible business outcomes. Additionally, you will champion our advertising solutions by aligning client challenges with Teads' market-leading formats and insights, acting as a strategic partner to clients to explore opportunities for account growth and innovation.

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on agency and brand success. Experience working with domestic agencies and a background in new business development are essential. A strong understanding of the digital landscape and programmatic advertising is required, along with technical proficiency in ad-serving systems, tracking technologies, and measurement solutions. Established relationships within the Japanese advertising ecosystem, including media agencies, trading desks, and key brand stakeholders, are crucial. Full professional fluency in Japanese and effective communication skills in English for global collaboration are also necessary.
