CMC Statistician Intern
Prime Medicine is seeking a CMC Statistician Intern to join our Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) team in Cambridge, MA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of our gene editing therapies by applying statistical methods to various aspects of the CMC process. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with scientists and CMC professionals to support our mission of delivering next-generation gene editing therapies to patients.
In this role, you will apply statistical techniques to support analytical method validation, process characterization, stability analysis, and specification setting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing real data from ongoing programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand underlying questions, and producing outputs that directly inform development decisions. This hands-on experience will provide valuable insights into the biopharmaceutical development process.
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, with junior or senior standing preferred. A solid foundation in applied statistics, including regression, hypothesis testing, variance analysis, and tolerance or confidence intervals, is essential. Proficiency in at least one statistical computing environment such as R, Python, JMP, or Minitab is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also important.
