Cloud Data Architect (AWS)
Fisher Phillips, a leading international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a Cloud Data Architect (AWS) to join their dynamic IT team. This role is integral to the firm's digital transformation, focusing on designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based data solutions primarily using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with systems and security teams to ensure a robust hybrid IT environment.
In this position, the Cloud Data Architect will be responsible for architecting and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions that integrate seamlessly with the firm's existing data centers. Key duties include maintaining and optimizing cloud resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and identity services, as well as monitoring system performance, security, and availability across both cloud and hybrid infrastructures. The role also involves supporting cloud migrations, disaster recovery planning, and enforcing governance and compliance best practices within AWS.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with at least three years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud services. Proficiency in core AWS services—including compute, networking, storage, security, and identity—is essential. Experience with Windows Server administration, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and PowerShell scripting is also required. Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, and cost management tools, as well as environments utilizing Active Directory and Microsoft 365, will be advantageous.
The compensation for this role ranges from $125,000 to $145,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
