Cloud Azure Security Engineer
As a Cloud Azure Security Engineer at Monks Technology Services, you will play a pivotal role in securing cloud environments by designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions across Azure infrastructure, applications, and data. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will assess risks, enhance cloud security posture, and support clients in adopting scalable, compliant, and resilient security practices.
Your primary responsibilities will include assessing the security posture of Microsoft Azure environments to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps. You will design and implement cloud security controls, develop and maintain security policies aligned with regulatory requirements, and conduct regular security audits. Additionally, you will provide guidance to engineering and operations teams on security best practices and support the implementation of Azure-native security services such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Firewall, and Azure Active Directory.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in cloud security engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree preferred. Strong knowledge of Azure security services, experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and containerized environments, as well as proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI, are essential. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or CCSP are preferred.
