As a Claims Manager, you will be an early member of the Claims team, playing a pivotal role in shaping and improving our active claims management processes and systems. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with Claims leadership, internal Data and Engineering teams, and carrier partners to fulfill our mission of providing world-class service.

In this role, you will conduct thorough investigations into coverage, liability, and damages for each assigned claim, ensuring accurate and timely resolutions. You will actively manage claims to achieve cost-effective outcomes, build and maintain positive relationships with policyholders, brokers, carrier partners, and Risk Engineers, and oversee assignments to experts and outside counsel, holding vendors accountable to our service standards. Additionally, you will support data collection efforts by accurately capturing critical claim details, identify emerging claims trends, and provide feedback to enhance our claim handling processes and systems.

The ideal candidate possesses at least 3 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years in litigating or managing claims in areas such as Employment Practices Liability, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Directors and Officers Liability, or Errors and Omissions Liability. A bachelor's degree is required, with a law degree (J.D.) and professional designations like RPLU or AIC highly preferred. Candidates must hold all required state claim adjuster licenses or obtain them within 90 days of hire. Strong independent and collaborative work abilities, high personal initiative, exceptional time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in operating within a paperless claims environment and using Microsoft Office products is expected, with familiarity in Google Docs Editors suite considered a plus.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000, determined by factors such as market data, location, internal equity, and experience.
