EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is seeking a Construction Claims Attorney to join our Property & Casualty insurance brokerage team in Birmingham, Alabama. This role focuses on assisting specialty construction contractor clients with all claims-related matters, aiming to positively influence claim outcomes and reduce risk costs through continuous claims management. The position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring three days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities include managing all phases of claims, from evaluating coverage and reporting losses to carriers, to monitoring claim progress and facilitating efficient closures. The attorney will provide technical expertise to clients, adjusters, and defense counsel, establish and maintain claim files, and participate in formal claims reviews and client presentations. Additionally, the role involves identifying claim trends and developing strategies to mitigate future risks.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-approved program and have at least three years of relevant experience in contracts management, insurance coverage, construction, or commercial claims adjusting. Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with excellent time management abilities and a proactive approach to tasks. A positive, team-oriented disposition and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization are also highly valued.
