Central America & Caribbean Country Manager
EBANX is seeking a Country Manager for Central America and the Caribbean to drive growth, profitability, and diversification across multiple countries. This strategic role requires a solid background in financial services, payments, e-commerce, or technology, along with established relationships within the regional payments ecosystem. The successful candidate will leverage market knowledge and local contacts to expand EBANX's presence in the region.
Key responsibilities include managing relationships with merchants, partners, acquirers, banks, processors, and government agencies. The Country Manager will own market volume and revenue growth, ensure payment method diversification, negotiate cost rates for competitive pricing, and develop new business opportunities. Additionally, the role involves analyzing market data, monitoring project progress, co-leading marketing initiatives, evaluating competitors, and representing EBANX at regional events.
Candidates must be native Spanish speakers with fluent English; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus. A proven background in the financial services, payments, e-commerce, or technology industry is essential, along with experience in strategic project management within the financial or payments sector. Strong familiarity with the Central America and Caribbean payments and e-commerce ecosystem, including an established network of contacts, is required. Experience with payment processing and acquirer systems, as well as comprehensive knowledge of market intelligence and account management in complex environments, are also necessary. The position is based in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, or Panama, with openness to remote or hybrid work environments.
