Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a Case Manager/Pre-Litigation Paralegal to join their Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania team. This role involves assisting attorneys in developing settlements, preparing documents, and managing a varied caseload. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, empathetic, and highly organized.

Key responsibilities include daily interaction with existing and potential clients via telephone and in person, ordering medical records from providers, obtaining necessary documents to support injury and liability positions, and interacting with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances. The Case Manager will also negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers, work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files, maintain organized case files, prepare comprehensive demands, and interact with attorneys to present case synopses when required. Additionally, the role involves managing case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney and performing other related duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree (preferred), prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager, at least 2 years of working in a legal position or insurance adjuster experience, negotiating skills, and the ability to be a team player and follow procedures. Proactive interaction with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers is essential, along with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and extensive computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing no less than 35 wpm, are also required.
