Case Manager in Training
The Case Manager in Training position at Morgan & Morgan is designed to provide comprehensive support and training across various legal case teams. This role involves shadowing experienced Case Managers, ordering medical records, investigating case facts, preparing demands, assembling supporting documentation, and drafting settlement-related correspondence. The position aims to develop candidates for future Case Manager roles within the firm.
Key responsibilities include assisting in organizing, filing, and maintaining client files, collecting check requests for medical records, accident reports, driving records, and vehicle ownership, and performing general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail. The role also involves creating new and existing client folders, preparing and sending turndowns and no representation letters, contracts, and multi-party combo letters, and sending out demand letters.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, with 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Insurance Adjuster, or in a support role, preferably in a law firm setting or corporate legal department. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate attention to detail are essential. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills, are required. Proficiency in computer programs, databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are necessary.
