Capital Markets Originator
Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC), a subsidiary of Marcus & Millichap, Inc., is seeking a Capital Markets Originator to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on sourcing debt and equity solutions, including permanent, bridge, and construction loans, through various capital sources such as commercial banks, CMBS lenders, insurance companies, private equity, and credit unions.
The Capital Markets Originator will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with developers, owners, and other third-party origination sources. Key duties include prescreening and qualifying transactions, reviewing offering memorandums, structuring deals, preparing underwriting presentations, and collaborating with capital sources to secure favorable client transactions. Additionally, the role involves working closely with investment sales agents to enhance market position and revenue generation through financing opportunities.
Candidates should possess a minimum of seven years of capital markets experience with a brokerage, investment bank, or principal. Essential qualifications include the ability to transfer key relationships to the company, superior written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative professional style, and the capacity to work effectively within a large brokerage institution. A proven track record of developing client-centric and internal relationships is also required.
The anticipated salary range for this position in Texas is $35,000 to $37,000 per year, plus commission, depending on experience, individual performance, transaction volume, and market conditions.
