California Growth & Engagement Lead
Peregrine Technologies is seeking a California Growth & Engagement Lead to drive statewide expansion by establishing strategic relationships with state leaders and converting these connections into tangible market outcomes. This role is pivotal in aligning Peregrine's AI-enabled solutions with California's public safety and governmental priorities, facilitating the deployment of innovative technologies across the state.
The primary responsibilities include identifying and developing opportunities with major California agencies such as the California Highway Patrol, Office of Emergency Services, Department of Justice, Health and Human Services, and Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The role involves serving as Peregrine's representative to state and local officials, influencers, advisors, and lobbyists, building trusted relationships that lead to concrete deployments. Additionally, the position requires mapping California's strategic priorities to Peregrine's products, transforming policy developments and funding opportunities into revenue-generating initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to accelerate growth and streamline deployment processes.
Candidates should possess a deep understanding of the challenges facing the public safety community and state and local governments, coupled with a passion for addressing these issues at scale. A minimum of seven years' experience in government partnerships, public-sector business development, or state-level strategy within California is required. Proven ability to translate government priorities and funding flows into commercial opportunities, strong relationships with California state agencies, and exceptional communication and strategic planning skills are essential. An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to lawmakers are also critical.
