Oklo is seeking a CAD/PLM Administrator to join our engineering team, focusing on establishing and supporting our SolidWorks-based CAD environment and associated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) infrastructure. This role is integral to our mission of developing advanced fission power plants that provide clean, reliable, and affordable energy. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and engineering infrastructure teams to enhance productivity and maintain scalable, well-managed engineering data.

Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining SolidWorks across local Windows workstations, virtual desktop environments, and centralized server backends. The role involves administering PLM and Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as SolidWorks PDM Professional and SolidWorks Manage, including setting up workflows, permissions, item lifecycles, and change states. Additionally, the administrator will support designers and engineers through onboarding, troubleshooting, and addressing day-to-day CAD and PLM issues. Maintaining revision control, access control, and data integrity for CAD and engineering artifacts is also a critical aspect of this position.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience, along with a minimum of three years of experience supporting CAD, PDM, or PLM systems in a production environment. Hands-on experience administering SolidWorks or similar mechanical CAD platforms is essential. A strong understanding of PLM or PDM concepts, including revision control, access management, workflows, and lifecycle states, is required. Comfort working in Windows-based enterprise environments and coordinating with IT infrastructure teams is necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with designers and engineers are also important.

Oklo offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $160,000 per year, along with flexible time off, equity options, 401(k) plans, health insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and flexible work hours. Remote employees are required to travel to headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, twice per quarter for team meetings and company events.

Joining Oklo means becoming part of a team dedicated to pioneering the next generation of nuclear reactors. We value collaboration, humility, ownership, and pathfinding. Our culture emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to delivering clean energy solutions. This role offers the opportunity to shape how design tools, data management, and engineering workflows operate as we standardize and expand these systems to support the company's long-term engineering needs.
