CAD Designer / 3D BIM Modeller
BESIX Environment, an independent entity within the BESIX Group, is dedicated to developing, engineering, building, commissioning, operating, and maintaining projects in water, sustainable energy, and hydrogen infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer / 3D BIM Modeller to join our multi-disciplinary team, supporting the tendering and execution phases of complex process and MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) projects across water, wastewater, energy, and industrial sectors.
In this role, you will develop and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for process and MEICA systems using design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Plant 3D. You will produce Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and installation drawings in coordination with design engineers. Additionally, you will support BIM Level 2/3 project delivery by adhering to established BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and company CAD/BIM standards, ensuring models and data are shared, coordinated, and managed across all project disciplines.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, or similar 3D design software, and a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process engineering systems, ideally within water treatment, energy, or industrial process environments. A working knowledge of BIM principles and the ability to produce accurate and coordinated design models and drawings are essential. Effective communication skills in both Dutch and English are required, with French considered an asset. A degree equivalent to a Graduaat (Associate Degree) or Professionele Bachelor in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent experience, is necessary.
