Business Unit Manager for Oligonucleotide Manufacturing

Eurofins Genomics is seeking a Business Unit Manager for Oligonucleotide Manufacturing to lead daily operations at our Louisville, KY facility. This role involves managing a team of 40–50 employees in a dynamic production environment, reporting directly to the Vice President of Eurofins Genomics.

The Business Unit Manager will oversee oligonucleotide manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal performance, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities include driving continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma projects, planning and implementing automation and equipment upgrades, and collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Maintenance, IT, and R&D teams to support new product introductions and process enhancements.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline; an MS or PhD in Organic Chemistry or a related field is strongly preferred. A minimum of 8–10 years of direct experience in manufacturing operations, particularly in leading a plant manufacturing floor, is ideal. A strong background in oligonucleotide synthesis is advantageous, along with demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives and scaling manufacturing operations.
