Business Intelligence and Analytics Engineer
BetterHelp is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence and Analytics Engineer to develop and maintain data tools that support the company's mission of making mental health care more accessible. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, including clinicians, engineers, product managers, and marketers, to create scalable and trustworthy data solutions that drive informed decision-making across the organization.
Key responsibilities include acting as a subject matter expert to train cross-functional teams, delivering analytical insights through dashboards and ad-hoc analyses, and collaborating with various departments to understand their data needs. The engineer will ensure data quality and freshness throughout the pipeline, create reverse ETL flows to provide stakeholders with timely data, and define robust DataOps pipelines to effectively deliver data services. Additionally, the role involves exploring and integrating new data sources and software solutions into the reporting environment.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc or MA in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering, and at least four years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data analytics, or a related field. Advanced experience with data pipeline tools, particularly in-warehouse transformation tools like dbt, and proficiency in SQL are required. Experience with OLAP data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), BI tools (preferably Looker), and familiarity with dimensional modeling frameworks (e.g., Kimball, Data Vault) are also essential. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with command-line tools and version control systems like Git are necessary.
BetterHelp offers a competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $140,000, with eligibility for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
