Business Development Manager – New Business Acquisition
Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Netherlands (EBPT NL) is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager – New Business Acquisition to accelerate the growth of our GMP analytical and manufacturing services in the Netherlands and beyond. This role involves identifying, targeting, and converting new business opportunities through proactive outreach and structured cold acquisition campaigns. The successful candidate will work closely with Marketing to design and execute targeted prospecting campaigns and collaborate with the Inside Sales team to ensure smooth lead handling. Additionally, managing a small portfolio of existing manufacturing clients to ensure continuity and support selective growth is part of the role.
Key responsibilities include full ownership of all outbound and cold acquisition activities, including campaign strategy design, planning, and execution. The role requires proactively identifying, approaching, and winning new clients in GMP small molecule testing, fill & finish and compounding, clinical trial material, and small-scale commercial manufacturing. Building and managing a high-quality opportunity pipeline across multiple segments, converting qualified leads into long-term strategic partnerships, and analyzing campaign effectiveness to continuously optimize outreach tactics are essential duties.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Analytical Sciences. A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, outbound acquisition, technical sales, or commercial roles in the pharma, biotech, CDMO, CRO, or analytical testing environment is required. Proven success in cold outreach and new business hunting, along with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, are essential. Fluency in English is required; Dutch is an advantage. The candidate should be located in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
