Business Development Manager Microbiology Pharma (m/f/d)
Eurofins Scientific is seeking a proactive and self-driven Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our business in Switzerland. This role involves identifying new market opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and positioning Eurofins as a preferred partner for GMP-compliant analytical testing services in Microbiology, Chemical-Physical Analytics, and Environmental & Utility Testing.
Key responsibilities include identifying, targeting, and acquiring new customers within the Swiss (Bio)Pharma sector through proactive outreach and event-driven lead generation. The role also involves driving sales growth by developing new business opportunities and closing deals aligned with strategic objectives, implementing targeted sales strategies to accelerate market penetration, and managing existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. Additionally, the Business Development Manager will represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events, and maintain accurate records in key IT systems, including CRM tools and customer databases.
The ideal candidate will possess a scientific degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in customer interaction and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Microbiology. Solid knowledge of GMP regulations is essential, along with excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and teamwork skills. Proficiency in common IT applications, including MS Office and CRM systems, and excellent spoken and written English skills are required. A willingness to travel up to 20% is also necessary.
