Business Development Manager Key Accounts - San Diego/Los Angeles
Eurofins is seeking a Business Development Manager to oversee key accounts in the San Diego and Los Angeles regions. This role involves managing and expanding the sales of Eurofins Discovery's comprehensive portfolio, which includes chemistry and pharmacology products and services. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining existing business relationships, exploring new therapeutic areas, and generating additional revenue streams within assigned key accounts.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic account plans, identifying and engaging potential clients within the drug discovery sector, and fostering strong client relationships through strategic selling and regular business reviews. The role also entails providing feedback on operational strategies to meet client needs, monitoring competitor activities, and collaborating with internal teams to implement effective marketing and account strategies. Regular travel, approximately 30-50% of the time, is expected to maintain client engagement and business development activities.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of field sales experience with a strong understanding of drug discovery, particularly in discovery chemistry. A Bachelor's degree in chemistry, pharmacology, or a related discipline is required, along with experience in developing and managing large key accounts, typically within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. Proficiency in the CRO market, strong presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders are essential. The candidate should also be capable of domestic and international travel as needed.
Eurofins offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $150,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid vacation and holidays. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with standard working hours and potential for overtime as needed.
