Business Development Manager Japan
The Business Development Manager, Japan, will be responsible for driving revenue growth by strategically and tactically selling Eurofins Discovery's comprehensive service and product portfolio. This role involves engaging with industrial and large academic institutions within the drug discovery industry, as well as Contract Research Organizations (CROs), to expand Eurofins' presence in the Japanese market.
Key responsibilities include identifying and cultivating relationships with new prospects and existing accounts through sales calls, lead follow-ups, on-site seminars, trade shows, and user meetings. The manager will offer consultative solutions across multiple Eurofins Discovery platforms, coordinate customer visits with Eurofins scientists and specialists, and adapt business development plans to align with the unique needs of the territory. Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities using CRM Dynamics 365 and ensuring precise transaction processing are also essential duties.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant life science field, such as Pharmacology, Cell Biology, or Biochemistry. A minimum of five years of successful technical sales experience, particularly within the preclinical CRO market, is required. Proficiency in both Japanese and English, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, and the ability to respond effectively to scientific inquiries are essential. The role requires frequent travel within Japan and occasional international travel to the USA, EU, or Asia for customer audits, team meetings, or training sessions.
