Square is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive the sourcing and recruitment of independent sales consultants across the UK. As Square continues its rapid expansion in the UK market, this role is critical to building and scaling our field sales force through quality recruitment. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role for a recruitment professional who thrives in volume hiring environments and understands the unique dynamics of recruiting self-employed sales professionals.

You will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and recruiting 20-30 independent consultants per month through diverse sourcing channels. This includes developing and executing creative sourcing strategies, managing the end-to-end recruitment process, and conducting initial interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate suitability. Additionally, you will partner closely with Regional Sales Managers and the Sales Enablement team to ensure a seamless candidate experience and successful integration.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of dedicated recruitment experience with a strong track record in high-volume hiring. Proven, direct experience recruiting independent contractors, auto-entrepreneurs, or freelance sales professionals is essential. A deep understanding of the UK auto-entrepreneur landscape and regulatory environment is also required. Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes and building high-volume candidate pipelines is crucial, along with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed aggressive recruitment targets in fast-paced environments.
