The company seeks professionals fluent in BSL, including its grammar, syntax, non-manual markers, fingerspelling, and regional variations, to contribute to the development of AI systems that better understand and process BSL.

Key responsibilities include engaging with AI models on real-world BSL communication scenarios and theoretical linguistic questions, verifying linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness, documenting error patterns, and suggesting improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics. This involves conversing with the model, assessing its outputs, and providing detailed feedback to enhance its performance.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Deaf Studies, Sign Language Interpreting, Linguistics, or a related field. The compensation for this role ranges from $6 to $65 per hour, depending on experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor, the individual is expected to provide a secure computer and high-speed internet connection.
