Biochemist - Group Leader
Eurofins is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biochemist to join our Formulations team as a Group Leader. In this role, you will perform analytical chemistry techniques to support RNA-LNP formulations and lead a team of scientists. Eurofins is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, ensuring the safety and authenticity of their products.
As a Group Leader, you will support research scientists with their experiments based on company protocols, methods, and procedures. Your responsibilities will include analyzing RNA-lipid nanoparticles using various analytical chemistry techniques and instruments such as HPLC, Solo-VPE, MFI, AKTA, DLS, HI-AC, and viscosity measurements. Additionally, you will assist scientists with the formulation of proteins and buffers as needed, maintain accurate documentation using electronic lab notebooks, and ensure a well-organized and clean laboratory environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. in biological or biochemical sciences (or a related field) with 3-4 years of relevant laboratory experience, or an M.S. with 1-2 years of experience. Expertise in the formulation, analytical, or process development of genetic modalities (e.g., siRNA, mRNA, RNA-LNP) is essential. Demonstrated proficiency in chromatography and separation techniques, hands-on experience with HPLC, and professional leadership experience with the ability to train team members are required. Strong organizational, time management, communication, and teamwork skills, along with a proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement, are also important.
