BESIX Watpac is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join their Queensland Construction team, focusing on enhancing Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows and coordination across various projects. The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for advising on best practice technical BIM processes throughout all project phases, from concept to completion. Key duties include implementing and managing processes as per the BIM Management and Execution Plans, assessing and auditing models for project teams, coordinating and reviewing BIM information—including clash detection—and assisting with project design coordination meetings. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support to project teams in utilizing BIM information with digital tools and assisting tender teams in preparing graphical construction representation documentation.

Candidates should possess established experience with REVIT and AutoCAD, particularly within the building construction sector. An ability to follow, implement, and improve custom company and project BIM processes is essential. A working knowledge of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and drafting standards is required. Understanding project workflows, including schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases, and building construction sequencing, is also important. Proficiency in relevant software programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM Collaborate, AutoCAD, Revizto, and Enscape is necessary.
