BESIX Watpac is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join their New South Wales Construction team, focusing on assisting projects and pre-contracts with Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows and coordination. The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for advising on best practice technical BIM processes across all project phases, from concept to completion. Key duties include implementing and managing processes as per the BIM Management and Execution Plans to achieve project goals and high-quality coordinated design deliverables. The role also involves assessing, auditing, and federating models for project teams, providing reports on status and compliance, coordinating and reviewing BIM information (including clash detection), and assisting with project design coordination meetings. Additionally, the BIM Coordinator will provide technical support to project teams in handling and utilizing BIM information with digital tools and assist project tender teams in preparing graphical construction representation documentation and other design tender documentation.

Candidates should have established experience with REVIT and AutoCAD, predominantly in the building construction sector. The ability to follow, implement, and improve custom company and project BIM processes with end deliverables in mind is essential. A working knowledge of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and Drafting Standards is required. Understanding project workflows, including schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases, and building construction sequencing, is also important. Proficient computer skills, including in relevant software programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM Collaborate, AutoCAD, Revizto, and Enscape, are necessary.
