Benefit Consultant

The Benefits Consultant supports Business Consultants by developing and executing the overall benefits strategy, including assessing current offerings, presenting proposed plan options, updating contribution models, finalizing benefit selections, and negotiating final rates for all Master Plan Benefits programs. They serve as the benefits expert for their assigned sales region, maintaining active Group Life & Health Insurance Licenses in all relevant states, and are responsible for managing their territory effectively while also providing national support as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Lead the effective communication and presentation of the company's Benefits Program to internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders. • Negotiate, refine, and finalize benefits offerings in partnership with carriers and internal business partners. • Manage and optimize performance within the assigned territory, ensuring strong execution of benefits strategy and service delivery. • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Business Consultants, acting as the primary benefits expert and strategic partner. • Develop and refine comprehensive benefits strategies that align with organizational goals and evolving client needs. • Monitor, interpret, and advise on current benefits and market trends to guide strategic recommendations. • Evaluate open‐market benefit offerings and carrier options to support informed comparisons and decision‐making. • Demonstrate deep expertise in medical benefit plan designs, cost structures, and regulatory requirements. • Provide expert guidance on ancillary benefits, including dental, vision, disability, and related products. • Advise on voluntary benefits and ensure offerings remain competitive and aligned with employee expectations. • Oversee adherence to benefit implementation requirements, rules, and timelines to ensure accurate and timely execution. • Create, analyze, and optimize contribution models to sup...
