Automation Engineer
As a Senior Automation Engineer at Eurofins, you will lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of advanced robotic automation systems. Collaborating with a diverse team of experts, your role is pivotal in implementing cutting-edge robotic technologies that enhance operational efficiency, boost productivity, and elevate process quality. Your primary responsibilities include designing, refining, and managing robotic systems encompassing mechanical, electrical, and software elements. You will develop and implement control algorithms for robotic handling and trajectory planning, ensuring seamless integration of robotic systems within commercial laboratory settings. Additionally, you will create intuitive user interfaces to streamline process management and perform comprehensive testing and validation to meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A robust understanding of robotics fundamentals, dynamics, and control mechanisms is essential, along with at least 7-8 years of significant professional experience in the robotics arena, demonstrating leadership and successful project completion. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python, familiarity with ROS, and experience with PLC and SCADA programming are desirable. Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are also required.
