Attorney / Senior Attorney - Operations

EQT Corporation, a leading natural gas producer in the United States, is seeking an Attorney or Senior Attorney to provide legal support to its operational teams, primarily focusing on upstream and midstream land and surface operations. This role is integral to facilitating efficient execution of business objectives while managing legal risks in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements, including leases, surface use agreements, right-of-way agreements, and heavy hauling agreements. Additionally, the role involves advising on local permitting processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active bar license, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Experience in supporting upstream and/or midstream oil and gas operations, particularly within the Appalachian Basin, is essential. Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills are also required.

Preferred qualifications include over 7 years of relevant experience, direct experience with land and surface agreements, midstream commercial agreements, and municipal contract and permitting processes. Familiarity with legal technology and workflow tools is advantageous. The position may require 5-10% travel for team events and meetings.
