Associate Scientist I

Eurofins Scientific is seeking an Associate Scientist I to join our Agrigenomics Laboratory team. This role focuses on supporting various laboratory activities, including sample preparation, DNA extraction, PCR setup, array genotyping, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), and data analysis for plant, animal, and human specimens. Eurofins is a global leader in analytical testing services, committed to ensuring the safety and authenticity of products across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities include preparing paperwork, handling sample preparation for various specimens, performing DNA extractions, conducting PCR and NGS procedures, and analyzing resulting data. The Associate Scientist I will also assist in equipment maintenance and calibration, support and maintain ISO quality systems, and participate in general laboratory upkeep. Effective communication with team members and clients is essential to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, Laboratory Science, or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for some educational requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn laboratory-specific hardware and software are necessary. Experience with DNA extraction, PCR setup, genotyping using arrays, and data interpretation is preferred. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders, as visa sponsorship is not available.

The position offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
