Associate Legal Counsel, Real Estate and Project Development
Silicon Ranch Corporation is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel specializing in Real Estate and Project Development to join their Nashville, TN team. This role is integral to the company's mission of providing customized renewable energy solutions across North America. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel in Real Estate & Project Development, as well as various cross-functional teams, to manage and mitigate legal aspects of the company's real estate operations.
In this position, the Associate Legal Counsel will independently handle the negotiation and administration of purchase options, easement agreements, and related closing transactions. Responsibilities include conducting title and survey diligence, drafting and negotiating closing documents, and managing transaction logistics. The role also involves drafting, negotiating, and administering key real estate agreements and title and survey deliverables for project financing transactions, such as easements and affiliate ground leases. Additionally, the Associate Legal Counsel will advise and support the External Affairs and Project Development teams on local land use permitting and zoning ordinance review and strategy.
Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and hold an active bar admission in good standing in at least one state. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a real estate attorney at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department is required. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with real estate purchase and sale transactions, title and survey review, and due diligence. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels are essential.
