Associate Director, Commercial Strategy and Insights

The Associate Director, Commercial Strategy and Insights will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial trajectory of MapLight's lead asset and broader pipeline.
In this role, the Associate Director will lead market research, forecasting, and competitive intelligence efforts to inform launch planning and commercial strategies. Key responsibilities include conducting market assessments, analyzing competitive landscapes, and evaluating opportunities to guide strategic decisions. The position also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product positioning, target customer segments, and value propositions, as well as supporting commercial launch planning activities and developing key performance indicators and tracking dashboards.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare consulting, or related functions is required. Experience in commercial planning, market research, forecasting, or analytics within biotech or specialty pharmaceutical environments is essential, with pre-launch or first commercial launch experience preferred. Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are also necessary.
This hybrid role requires on-site presence three days per week at MapLight's offices in Redwood City, CA, or Burlington, MA.
