Assistant Scientist
Eurofins Agroscience Services is seeking an Assistant Scientist to join our Chemistry team in Easton, Maryland. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training and is ideal for recent graduates aiming to contribute to high-quality research in a collaborative environment. The Easton laboratory is the largest EAS facility, housing over 100 scientists dedicated to biological, toxicology, chemistry, and environmental fate contract research across North America.
The Assistant Scientist will employ a diverse range of analytical methods to investigate test substances within various systems. Responsibilities include performing laboratory tasks such as using analytical balances, measuring volumes, preparing buffer solutions, and conducting sample processing. The role also involves executing sample extraction and cleanup techniques for different matrices, utilizing chromatographic analysis instrumentation, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with SOP and GLP guidelines.
Candidates should possess strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, coupled with self-motivation and adaptability, is essential. A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field is required. Prior experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $43,888 to $45,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid vacation and holidays. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours as needed. Candidates residing within a commutable distance of Easton, MD, are encouraged to apply.
