Asset and Inventory Coordinator
The Asset and Inventory Coordinator at Graphcore plays a pivotal role in maintaining the operational efficiency of the company's engineering and R&D infrastructure. This position is integral to the Data Center Engineering and Systems Engineering teams, which are responsible for building and operating AI systems that support both Graphcore's internal engineering and customer environments. The role involves meticulous management of hardware assets, ensuring their availability and readiness to meet the dynamic needs of engineering teams.
In this hands-on position, the coordinator is responsible for scanning and reconciling assets, coordinating ordering and replenishment processes, and managing Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) from return through replacement or credit. The role also includes receiving, labeling, staging, and distributing hardware components such as servers, accelerators, networking parts, cabling, and spares. Additionally, the coordinator tracks hardware throughout its lifecycle, maintains stock readiness for break-fix needs, produces inventory health reports, documents standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supports audit readiness.
Candidates for this role should have experience in inventory, asset management, lab operations, logistics, or hardware operations. Proficiency in handling hardware, including receiving, labeling, staging, and stocking equipment, is essential. Experience with inventory, asset, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ticketing, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or warehouse systems is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail when maintaining records across locations or storage areas is crucial. Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including the use of filters, pivot tables, lookup functions, and reporting, is required. Clear communication, sound prioritization, and a practical approach to supporting engineering teams are also important.
