Asbestos Analyst - Mid Level

Eurofins is seeking a Mid-Level Asbestos Analyst to join our Christchurch laboratory team. This role focuses on maintaining laboratory accreditations and enhancing quality assurance processes within our environmental testing operations.

Key responsibilities include conducting bulk identification, asbestos in soil analysis (both P/A and S/Q), and fibre counting. The analyst will ensure equipment and compliance systems adhere to ISO standards, assist with technical and quality tasks, mentor internal staff, and participate in proficiency testing programs to achieve satisfactory results.

Candidates should possess a tertiary qualification in Science or equivalent experience, with at least two years of laboratory experience, preferably in a commercial setting. Proficiency in analyzing asbestos materials—bulk, fibre counting, and soil analysis—is essential. Attention to detail, strong computer skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous learning are also required.
