Asbestos Analyst
Eurofins Scientific is seeking an experienced Asbestos Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials laboratory in Girraween, NSW. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental samples for asbestos identification in building materials and soils, as well as conducting airborne fiber counting. Your duties will include performing routine analyses, validations, and project work efficiently and accurately. Additionally, you will carry out field sampling activities such as airborne fiber monitoring and respirable dust monitoring, ensuring all client requirements are met or exceeded.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or a related science-based tertiary education, along with significant field or laboratory experience. Experience in a commercial laboratory setting, particularly with asbestos analysis in building materials and soils, is essential. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision are crucial for success in this role.
Eurofins offers a competitive compensation package, including an extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of the national standard rate. As a full-time position, the role operates Monday to Friday, providing a stable work schedule.
