Architect III
CannonDesign is seeking an experienced Architect III to join their multidisciplinary team in Houston, Texas. This role involves close collaboration with design and technical leadership, contributing to various project teams under direct supervision. The firm is dedicated to Living-Centered Design, aiming to reshape the world through innovative and socially impactful solutions.
In this position, the Architect III will independently handle design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing within a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities include assisting in the coordination of engineering systems with consultants, maintaining communication with owners and consultants regarding project status and design intent, preparing design sketches for site plans, and ensuring coordination of project documents across disciplines. The role also involves evaluating design for code compliance, processing Requests for Information, conducting field site observations, and potentially supervising and mentoring less experienced team members.
Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least six years of professional experience. A current Architectural Registration in the United States is required, with CDT and LEED accreditations preferred. Essential skills include critical thinking, strong analytical abilities, technical proficiency, and the capacity to work with some degree of autonomy. A robust creative design portfolio is crucial, along with strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite is also required.
The salary range for this position is between $90,713 and $113,365 annually, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
